ENTENTE Professional Exchange Programme, will you be the next Laureate?

Cécile Caulier
Professional Exchange Programme Leader

The ENTENTE Project aims at strengthening knowledge transfer offices in universities, public research organizations, hospitals and at promoting transnational collaboration between industry and academia in the health sector, through networking activities among all the key stakeholders within knowledge transfer in the health sector in Europe.

ENTENTE Professional Exchange Programme is the perfect tool to achieve this goal. This Programme is designed to develop the experience and expertise of technology transfer professionals while building stronger professional networks and relationships amongst TTOs themselves, and between TTOs and Industry.

This Exchange Programme has been designed in a way that would suit any technology transfer professional regardless of his seniority and enables a high flexibility based onto a personalized guidance and assistance. But what makes the ENTENTE Professional Exchange Programme really unique is the hosting organisations that are participating to this programme on a voluntary basis in order to favor the technology transfer ecosystem, in Europe and abroad.

During the ENTENTE Advisory board meeting, held in November 2013, advisors of the Entente project from both industry and academia confronted views and opinions in a frank and open-minded discussion in order to identify what drives and what hinders the technology transfer process and what can be done to improve it.

A particular issue in this discussion was the role of the technology transfer office of a research institute in this process. The outcome of the discussion on this topic is summarized in a document now available on the ENTENTE platform, next to other Best Practice documents addressing the role and operation technology transfer offices.
